Jammu, June 28:

 A fire broke out at a timber (wooden) shop owned by Dilip Singh, a resident of Kahpotha, in Jindrah on Sunday, creating panic among local residents.
On receiving information about the incident, the fire team of the 15 Field Ammunition Depot (15 FAD) immediately rushed to the spot and launched a firefighting operation. The personnel responded swiftly and managed to bring the blaze under control before it could spread to nearby shops and properties, averting a major loss.

No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. However, the fire caused damage to the timber stored inside the shop. The exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and the matter is under investigation by the concerned authorities.

The prompt response and coordinated efforts of the 15 Field Ammunition Depot fire team were widely appreciated by local residents, who credited the firefighters with preventing a potentially larger disaster.
