 Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar, and Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti today reviewed arrangements for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2026 at Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas and the Tawi Riverfront Token and Registration Centre.

Inspector General of Police, CRPF Jammu, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua, DIG Traffic, Commissioner JMC, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu (Nodal Officer Jammu SANJY 2026), Director Tourism, SSP Jammu, SSP Security, Director Health Services, Chief Engineers of executive agencies, Joint Director Information (Jammu), RTO, officers from Fire and Emergency Services and line departments were present.

Reviewing arrangements at Bhagwati Nagar, the Divisional Commissioner was apprised that all essential preparations and works at the Yatri Niwas camp have been put in place. Facilities for accommodation, drinking water, power supply, locker rooms, washrooms, illumination and other amenities have been set up at the Yatri Niwas, along with a health facility with doctors, paramedics and medical stock, and a round-the-clock control room with dedicated teams from line departments to ensure the best services for pilgrims.

A traffic plan with cut-off timings has been prepared, and a rate list for public vehicles including e-rickshaws, auto-rickshaws and taxi services has been circulated. The Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu emphasised adherence to cut-off timings for departure of Yatra convoys.

The Divisional Commissioner and IGP Jammu also visited the Token and Registration Centre at Tawi Riverfront, where they took a comprehensive on-the-spot review of arrangements for security, frisking points, multiple token and registration counters, drinking water, German hangars and barricading for smooth on-the-spot registration of pilgrims.

This year, the Token Centre for on-the-spot registration of pilgrims has been shifted to Tawi Riverfront with spacious, augmented facilities for a convenient and comfortable experience.
