Under the new arrangement, all load carriers and commercial passenger vehicles, including Sumos, buses, minibuses and Ecos, entering or leaving the town must follow the prescribed route. Vehicles will enter from the Shan Palace Naka side and proceed through Bowli Bazar, T-Chowk, Bus Stand and Cafeteria Chowk.

The order prohibits such vehicles from entering the Bus Stand from the Cafeteria Chowk end, which has been designated strictly as the exit point.

It also prohibits the loading and unloading of goods vehicles along the notified stretches between 8 am and 8 pm.

The District Magistrate said the restrictions had been imposed in view of traffic congestion in and around Ramban town, particularly near the Bus Stand, T-Chowk, Bowli Bazar and adjoining stretches, which was causing inconvenience to the public and disrupting the smooth movement of vehicles.

The Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Senior Superintendent of Police Traffic, National Highway Wing, Ramban, and Assistant Regional Transport Officer Ramban have been directed to ensure strict enforcement of the order.
