Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan has suspended four officials for alleged negligence and failure to meet prescribed targets in the ongoing digital crop survey in the district.The officials suspended are Agriculture Department Assistant Executive Agriculture Officers (AEAs) Jatinder Kumar and Sunil Khajuria, and Rural Development Department Panchayat Secretaries Surinder Singh and Vishal Rasgotra.

The action was taken after the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of the digital crop survey and found that the four officials had not achieved the targets assigned to them.

The digital survey of land and crops is being carried out across Jammu and Kashmir, with personnel from various departments deployed to undertake the exercise in Samba.

The suspension has come into force with immediate effect.
