Golden’s Day Care & Recreation Centre Celebrates Senior Citizens Day in Jammu

Golden’s Day Care & Recreation Centre for Senior Citizens, Lower Roop Nagar, Jammu, celebrated Senior Citizens Day with great zeal and enthusiasm on Friday.

The programme featured cultural performances, health awareness sessions and interactive activities aimed at promoting the well-being, dignity and social engagement of senior citizens.

The event was graced by Sh. Sham Lal Sharma, Hon’ble MLA, Jammu North Constituency, as the Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of Golden’s Day Care & Recreation Centre for providing senior citizens with a caring, respectful and vibrant social environment.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Sham Lal Sharma emphasized the importance of community participation in ensuring the physical, emotional and social well-being of elderly citizens. He expressed his solidarity and support for the noble initiative undertaken by the centre.

The management of Golden’s Day Care & Recreation Centre said that the celebration was dedicated to honouring senior citizens, who continue to serve as a guiding light for society. The management reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the happiness, dignity and welfare of elderly members.

Several prominent persons, including Sh. Raj Kumar Kohli, Sh. Tilak Raj Sharma, Sh. Prem Raj Shan and Sh. Ramesh Magotra, also spoke on the occasion and extended their support to the centre and its activities.

Development Works Proposed for the Centre

During the programme, various forthcoming works were also put before the Hon’ble MLA for consideration, including:

Installation of PP tiles in the front ground and allied works through the MLA’s CDF.
Installation of ESCL lights within the premises of Golden’s Day Care & Recreation Centre by Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC).

The proposed works are aimed at improving the facilities and overall environment of the centre for senior citizens.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all dignitaries, guests, management members and participants for their valuable presence and contribution in making the celebration a memorable success.
