The dry run of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2026 was conducted today from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas, Jammu to Banihal, Ramban in Jammu division. Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, Inspector General of Police Bhim Sen Tuti and Inspector General CRPF Jammu Sector Amol V Homkar reviewed the arrangements for convoy movement, security and pilgrim facilities at the halts at Chanderkote and Banihal in Ramban.

The convoy departed in the early hours of the morning with senior officers leading in the convoy bus. They undertook a thorough review of the yatra route from the Yatri Niwas to Banihal.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban received the convoy at Chanderkote and apprised the Divisional Commissioner of the arrangements for pilgrims during the convoy's halt, including langar, power, water supply, sanitation and accommodation.

The convoy then moved to Lamber in Banihal for its next halt. The Div Com reviewed the final arrangements at Lamber, inspecting amenities for pilgrims including drinking water and a medical room.

The Yatra is set to be flagged off on July 2. A series of reviews and inspections has been conducted in recent months ahead of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2026.
