Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced a renewed push against drug abuse in Jammu & Kashmir, emphasizing that the next three months will go beyond a routine campaign to lay the groundwork for lasting change.
Addressing a public rally in Kathua under the Drug-Free Jammu & Kashmir initiative, he highlighted compassionate rehabilitation as the cornerstone of the effort.
Sinha urged society to shift its perspective, stressing that individuals battling addiction should be treated as patients in need of care and support rather than stigma.
Calling for collective action, he launched a people’s movement against narcotics and appealed to citizens to work together in safeguarding the future of the region’s youth.
He concluded with a message of hope and determination, envisioning a Jammu & Kashmir where the energy of young people contributes positively to society, and reaffirmed the need to confront the drug menace with unwavering resolve.
