Former Sadr-e-Riyasat of Jammu & Kashmir, Dr. Karan Singh, has expressed deep shock and anguish over the devastating natural calamities that have struck the State, particularly the Jammu region.
In a handout issued here today, the former nonagenarian leader said, “While greeting everyone on Ganesh Chaturthi, I must express my shock and horror at the natural calamities that have hit the State, particularly the Jammu region. I extend my deep sympathy to the bereaved families of those who have perished, and pray for speedy recovery of those injured.”
The former Member Parliament hoped that the Central Government will extend all necessary support to the State administration to deal effectively with the current crisis.
