The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has moved a notice seeking the removal of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather from his post.

BJP MLA R.S. Pathania informed the Speaker about the party’s move during the Assembly proceedings on Monday and placed the notice before him.

The move comes amid ongoing political differences between the BJP and the ruling benches over the conduct of proceedings in the House.
