Enforcement wing Lakhanpur today under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement wing Lakhanpur in coordination with JK Police Intercepted a vehicle at Lakhanpur carrying trade goods and on preliminary examination detected huge volume of polythene carry bags inside the said vehicle.

The vehicle bearing vehicle No. PB104T5625 was carrying goods from Ludhiana (Punjab) to Jammu. On detailed physical inspection of vehicle around 328 bags carrying 9840 kgs of polythene carry bags were found and also 5 nags without any documents were also detected.

The notices has been issued and the vehicle and goods have been detained as per the CGST Act 2017.A total penalty of Rs.18720.00 has been imposed for violation of CGST Act.

The inspection team constituted by DC State Taxes Enforcement wing Lakhanpur included Dr. Aashna, (STO), Azar Amin(STO),Kaka Ram Verma(STO),Ins. Raj Kumar,Insp. Naresh Singh,Insp. Asif Ali, S.I Sanjay Shan and Guard Ajay Kumar and Omkar Singh under the supervision of Asst. Commissioner, Sona Gupta.

DC State Taxes Enforcement, Kathua addressed the media and advised the public to stop the usage of banned Polythene bags.

He further advised that the tax payers should comply with the Law to ensure smooth facilitation of goods. He reiterated that this imposition of penalty will create deterrence thereby ensuring proper implementation of GST.
