Demonstrating their commitment to social responsibility and nation-building, the 35 NCC Cadets of 8 J&K Girls Battalion NCC (A Coy) Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, enthusiastically participated in a Quiz Competition organized under the 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan.

The activity was conducted under the inspiring guidance of the worthy Principal, Dr. Kulvinder Kour, and coordinated by Lt. Suman Bala, Associate NCC Officer with the objective of equipping young ambassadors with the knowledge and awareness required to combat the menace of drug abuse and safeguard the future of the nation.
The quiz served as an effective platform to sharpen the cadets' understanding of substance abuse prevention, healthy lifestyles, and their role as responsible citizens. All the four teams - TUSHIL , VAGIR, UDAYGIRI and HIMGIRI displayed remarkable enthusiasm, quick thinking, and a confident aura throughout the competition, proving that they are ready to rise to the occasion when it comes to social causes.
Addressing the cadets, Principal Dr. Kulvinder Kour motivated them to actively participate in such meaningful initiatives and encouraged them to "hold the baton" of change in their hands. She emphasized that today's youth are the future leaders of the country and have the power to steer society towards a brighter and healthier tomorrow. she urged the cadets to become torchbearers of awareness and inspire others to stay away from drugs.
The programme concluded on a high note with the distribution of accolades as a token of appreciation to winners and participants by Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the College and Special Guest Dr. Parveen Akhter, Retd. Associate Professor who stated that , when empowered with knowledge, the youth can move mountains and become catalysts for positive social change - Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir.
