In a significant recognition of dedicated service and commitment, Security Headquarters, Jammu & Kashmir, has granted in-situ promotions to 1,028 security personnel belonging to different ranks.
The promotion process was conducted under the chairmanship of Shri Sujit Kumar, IPS, IGP Security, J&K, with the cases of eligible officials examined in accordance with the prescribed rules, regulations and eligibility criteria.
After detailed consideration, 1,028 officials were found eligible and fit for promotion and have accordingly been granted in-situ promotion to their respective higher ranks.
The move is being seen as an important step towards ensuring career progression, professional recognition and motivation among police personnel who have rendered dedicated and sustained service while discharging their responsibilities.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Security J&K Sujit Kumar congratulated all the promoted officials and their families. He appreciated their hard work, discipline, professionalism and dedication to duty, stating that the promotions are a recognition of their sincere and committed service.
The IGP emphasized that promotion also brings greater responsibility and higher professional expectations. He called upon the promoted personnel to continue performing their duties with the highest levels of dedication, discipline, integrity and professionalism.
He further stressed the importance of maintaining high standards of service and commitment while carrying out responsibilities entrusted to them.
The IGP reiterated that the welfare and professional growth of police personnel remain key priorities of Security Headquarters, J&K. He expressed confidence that the newly promoted officials would continue to contribute effectively towards strengthening the security apparatus and maintaining a high level of operational preparedness.
