The Jammu Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress on Tuesday held a meeting of Jammu district at the Congress Office at Shaheedi Chowk to discuss the preparations for the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The meeting was chaired by PYC President Uday Bhanu Chib, who was accompanied by Sahil Singh Lange and Anirudh Sawhney. Members from Jammu District Urban, Jammu Rural and Nagrota attended the meeting wherein a detailed discussion was held on the Yatra. The PYC members have also been visiting other districts to oversee preparations, including Kathua, Reasi and other areas.

Sunny Jatt, Ashutosh Rajkumar, Sahil Dogra, Gourav Sharma, Aarif Malik, Mehul Abrol, Adil Ahmad, Nauroop Singh, Mrincl Haryal, Shamshad Hussan, Sajid Khan, Sourav Sharma, Rafik Malik, Showkat Choudhary and others attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting PYC President Uday Bhanu Chib outlined the Youth Congress activities and preparations being done for the yatra and familiarised the members with the party instructions. The mobilisation plan, the scheduled route and various entry-points were discussed in detail to strategise on the management of the people participating in the yatra when it arrives. The yatra, in fact, has invoked a constructive spirit among the youth, activists, common people and party members alike. The young members, especially, realise the importance of the message of this yatra and relate to it on an individual and social level, he said. Politically also, this will translate into votes, he stated. They trust in Sh. Rahul Gandhi Ji's able leadership to guide people out of this state of hopelessness which has come from the BJP's anti-youth and anti-people policies, he stated.

Also speaking at the meeting, Sahil Singh Lange said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra has been doing wonders across the nation and will be equally successful in Jammu. Discussing the yatra's route, Lange explained that more and more people will be joining the yatra at various locations throughout the course of the yatra and necessary arrangements are being made for that. The yatra in and of itself is a symbolic fight against the BJPs misgovernance, a lot of which is based on hate politics, which is also prevalent in J&K, so it will play a very important role in countering that narrative, he further added.

Also speaking at the meeting, Anirudh Sawhney said that the people on a large scale, who are not associated with the party politically, are also interested in going out and extending complete support to the Yatra. He said that, all workers and members are diligently engaged with the preparations and want to leave no stone unturned to make the yatra successful as it passes through Jammu. The work being done through the yatra and the message that is being spread is very important. We are looking forward to welcoming the yatra to Jammu Kashmir, said Sawhney.
