Police on Tuesday arrested two truckers with contraband of poppy straw here on city outskirts.
Police said that during routine checking, two trucks were intercepted at Jhajjar Kotli and during frisking, 240 kgs of poppy straw was seized.
From one truck, 130-kg of poppy straw was recovered and the driver was arrested while from another truck, 120-kg of poppy straw was seized and the truck owner (driver) was arrested on the spot. A case has been registered and investigation started, police said.
