Fulfilling a long pending demand of inhabitants of Anand Nagar area of Ward 41, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) inaugurated upgraded transformer dedicated to the residents of the area. Sharma was also accompanied by State Secretary BJP and Corporator Ward 41 Sanjay Baru, PDD (Power Development Department) officials, local residents and political activists of the area.

Pertinent to mention, earlier the transformer installed in the area was of 100 KVA capacity in Lane no.2 of Anand Nagar area, but due to overloading and frequent power cuts, a deputation led by local Corporator Sanjay Baru met the Former MLA and demanded for an upgraded transformer in the area for which on the recommendations of the Former MLA, the transformer was upgraded to 250 KVA by PDD in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma Sat Sharma said that it was indeed a long pending demand of the locals and the same has been met so that a major relief could be provided to the inhabitants as earlier the load was on one transformer only and now another transformer has been installed to overcome the problem of low voltage and frequent power cuts.

He said BJP is committed to work for masses and believes in agenda of “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas”. He also appreciated the efforts of PDD for looking into the problems of people on priority and also said that other wards in Jammu West where power problem persists are also kept on priority and with the help of department, their problems will also be solved. He also stated that pending works in all 26 wards of Jammu west are kept on priority and will be taken up in a stipulated time frame.

Sanjay Baru stated that the quick positive response on the problems being faced by the residents of Anand Nagar by Former MLA Jammu West shows that how much dedicated and pro active he is till date even after almost a year has passed when the Assembly was dissolved. He also stated that majority works in the Ward have been done on the recommendations of Former MLA and upcoming works that are to be taken up are also recommended by him and he thanked him on behalf of the residents of the ward for taking a quick action on their problems.

Sharma along with Corporator and others also toured adjoining areas of the Ward as well and asked the concerned officials to take up the pending works as soon as possible in order to avoid public distress.

President Mohalla Association MK Zutshi, Ashok Wazir, Jaideep Singh Sambyal, Jatin Sethi, Kamal Bagati, Rakesh Duggal, Brijesh Gupta, Lokesh Bhagat, Sr. Jagjeet Singh, Kanhaiya Lal  and several others were also present.
