Bharatiya Janata Party, National General Secretary Ram Madhav paid tributes to the former Prime Minister & Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji on his 1^stDeath Anniversary at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Madhav was also accompanied by the BJP State President Ravinder Raina, MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Rajya Sabha) Shamsher Singh Manhas, former Dy. Chief Ministers Dr. Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State General Secretaries Dr. Narinder Singh, Yudhvir Sethi, former Minister Sat Sharma and MLC Ashok Khajuria.

Over 200 Praja Parishad movement participants, who suffered during the movements were also felicitated on the occasion and were given the credit of the day, when the region witnessed abrogation of Article 370.

Ram Madhav, while paying tributes to Atal ji, addressed the jampacked hall and said that today due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which was initiated by Atal ji, we have been able to see the day when Article 370 is abrogated and able to pay real tributes to former PM’s soul. He said that Atal ji’s spirit must be watching from the heavenly abode and must be feeling contended now as Atal ji along with the likes of Lal Krishna Advani, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra and others struggled continuously for the abrogation of the Article.

Ram Madhav said that today every Indian is happy as the feel of uneasiness has cured now which was pinching everyone since the Independence. He said that the unfinished agenda has been finished now after long history of hardwork and sacrifices, terming this as historic decision.

Ram Madhav said that Article 370 was an emotional issue for the rest of India where as it was the issue of life and death for the residents of Jammu & Kashmir and this is the reason that everyone in all the three regions is happy over the landmark decision as enjoying it like a festival.

Madhav said that many people lost their lives in the struggle and the people are today feeling excited and wondering at the same time that what took it so long the scrap the Article, when it could be easily done away with in the frame work of Indian Constitution long back.

Madhav said that after decades, after the passage of an era, the decision could be made with strong conviction and will shown by Modi ji giving real Shradhanjali to Atal ji on this day.

Madhav repeated that the region of Jammu & Kashmir has been given the status of Union Territory for a time period till the normalcy of conditions return and then the status of State will be given to Jammu & Kashmir, citing Security reasons amidst of the threats posed by the terrorists actively supported by Pakistan.

Madhav also blamed Congress, that on the directions of former PM Nehru, Article 370 was imposed through black door only, giving no solid ground reasons for its implementation even when the decision was negated by National Working Committee of Congress itself. He said that Pt. Nehru at that time forced Sardar Patel from outside India to get the decision implemented in India.

Madhav also alleged that the 4 members sent in the Pratinidhi Sabha from J&K were also chosen undemocratically on the directions of former CM Sheikh Abdullah while not taking into the confidence the people from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, thus ditching everyone in the state as well as whole of India.

Ram Madhav, today while we are giving Shardhanjali to Atal ji, the whole of the India is celebrating the abrogation of Article 370, giving true feel of Unification after so many years have passed after the Indian Union come into existence.

Madhav added that whole of India objected to the 2-Nation theory in 1947 and Sheikh Abdullah supported by Pt. Nehru was advocating the 3 Nation theory at that time. Now that idea of 3 Nation theory has completely vanished. He claimed that the region will now advance on most modern lines of development.

Madhav said that a new lease of life has been given to the region, giving all the denied rights to the deserved population and claimed that this will ensure development and welfare of the region.

Madhav also talked about the delimitation in the Jammu & Kashmir and said that the seats will be rationalized taking all factors in consideration. He talked about giving justice to the Kashmiri migrants, Refugees, Women, Nomads and other communities saying that old useless laws will be done away with the implementation of Central laws. He also said that Panchayats will be more empowered now, with the bold move. Modi ji has given logical end to the movement initiated by Atal ji, Ram Madhav added.  

State President Ravinder Raina and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul also addressed the gathering.
