Railways has suffered a loss of about Rs one crore due to suspension of train service in the Kashmir valley for security reasons since August 5, when the Centre scrapped Article 370 and 35 A and divided the state into two Union Territories.
All train runs remained suspended on Badgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region for the past 32 days on Thursday, official sources said.
