Police on Wednesday arrested a criminal with pistol and a live cartridge in Gangyal area here on city outskirts.
Police spokesperson here said that while on patrolling in Gangyal area intercepted one pedestrian namely Popinder Singh alias Kaka of Deshmesh Nagar, Satwari who was roaming near Bhargav Resort, Gangyal suspiciously.
On seeing the Police, he tried to escape from the spot, said the spokesman adding that alert Police cops on duty apprehended him.
On search, one country made Pistol alongwith one live cartridge was recovered from his possession.
The police has taken cognisance and registered case in this connection, the spokesperson added.
