The Second day of startup event at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra organised by Indian Army’s Counter Insurgency Force (Uniform) witnessed renowned mentors from various fields guiding the teams. The three-day Startup event is being organised by Indian Army at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University with an aim to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship in the youth of the Jammu & Kashmir.
On the second day of the event, the selected teams from Day 1 were mentored over and taught the nuances of converting an idea to a business model. Two workshops on ‘Minimum Viable Product and Prototype Creation’ and ‘Drive Sales Through Effective Communication and How to Pitch’ were a great success among the participants. Panel discussion on ‘Way ahead for Startup Ecosystem in J&K’ was also organised for non-participating visitors.
The highlight of the day was the Investors Meet where the bootstrapped startups of the region were able to present their business model to the investors. This is the very first time that serious investors and mentors have interacted at grass root level with the business owners.
Such initiatives by Indian Army are likely to have deep rooted impact in the overall growth of the region. The participants thanked and expressed their profound gratitude towards the Army for organising this event.
