Addressing the Media JCCI President Sh. Rakesh Gupta congratulated the Respected Advisor Sh. Vijay Kumar, Sh. B.V.R Subramanayam,IAS Chief Secretary J&K, Sh. Dilbag Singh, IPS DGP J&K, Sh. Mukesh Singh, IPS IGP Jammu and all officers and Jawans of different Security Agencieson their great achievement by arresting and busting the Hizbul Network in Kishtwar with their coordinated efforts. He said that since November last yearthere was an atmosphere  of fear prevailingamong the masses especially in the town of Kishtwar where Militants werecarrying out their activities killing innocents one after the another.   The JCCI President appealed to the DirectorGeneral of Police that it should be thoroughly probed and ascertained that whowere the political and non-political forces sheltering the arrested Militantsand also be brought to book under law. The JCCI President further appealed tothe Hon’ble Governor Sh. Satya Pal Malik and the respected Chief Secretary tourgently consider the demand of JCCI to withdraw the high percentage of OneTime Tax on purchase of Motor Vehicles. He further appeal ed to the Hon’ble Governor that on the eve ofNavrataras the people were waiting for withdrawal of this high tax so that asper traditions the people at large could purchase new Vehicles which shall notbe possible in case the SRO 492 is not withdrawn or amended. The JCCI Presidentexpressed positivity that the government shall keep in mind the sentiments ofthe people at large and also the deteriorating economy of the State.

 The Chamber Presidentalso urged the Hon’ble Governor to consider restoring Internet facilities inthose parts of the State where there was totally no law and order problem afterconsulting the concerned security agencies as the JCCI also feels that Nationalinterest and security concerns are paramount. He also requested the Governor’sAdministration to kindly consider the running business losses accumulating dueto non-availability of Internet facilities.
