Takes out candle light march in solidarity with Dhangri Martrys
Namrta Sharma, President Women Wing Aam Aadmi Party J&K on Wednesday hit out at Centre led by BJP over its failure to curb terrorism in J&K and sought resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah for not providing safety and security to the common man in the Union Territory.
Namrta was addressing a gathering during candle light march taken out in the memory of minority community people, who lost their precious lives in the ghastly terror strikes that left the entire UT of J&K into deep pain and anger.
The AAP leader asked the Home Minister Amit Shah to either provide security to the people in J&K or step down from the post of union minister as terrorism cannot be fought by having expertise in rhetoric only. She said that contrary to BJP leadership’s uttering about normalcy returning to J&K, the current situation is testimony to the fact that the days on 1990s terrorism are back in the UT as terrorists are targeting people at their own will with no one to check their activities because those sitting at helm are busy in befooling the people over false claims of peace and development.
Namrta said that the episode which happened on the arrival of LG Sinha in Dhangri has exposed the reality as the BJP leaders Gheraoed the head of the UT and disallowed him to meet the victims of the terror strike. She said that the treatment which the BJP leaders accorded to LG Sinha at Dhangri speaks louder than words that the terror strike is a complete failure of those who never get tired of boasting about eliminating terrorism from the soil of J&K.
The senior AAP leader said that the people are reeling under fear psychosis but the BJP leadership is shamelessly going for credit of a thing which actually has not happened yet as the Home Ministry has today only stated that tourism has replaced terrorism in J&K, which is a big white lie as still the victims of Rajouri killings are wailing in distress.
“Either Rajouri is not in J&K or the Home Ministry is deaf, dumb and blind because such a statement on a day when the entire Jammu and Kashmir or one can say the whole nation is mourning the death of six people including two toddlers in despicable terror strikes is nothing but a cruel joke by the ministry run by the Home Minister Amit Shah”, she maintained.
