As part of the bi-annual ‘Darbar Move’, the CivilSecretariat, the state of Jammu and Kashmir government, and other relatedoffices closed on Saturday in the summer capital, Srinagar.
Besides, the Civil Secretariat, other Darbar Move offices,including the Raj Bhawan, police headquarters and several commissions, willre-open in the winter capital, Jammu, on November 4.
This is the last move before the state divides into twoUnion Territories – Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh on October 31.
An official said that the government offices observing fivedays a week were closed on Friday while the offices observing six days a weekclosed on Saturday
He said all the departments were asked to send their advanceparties, consisting of one Gazetted officer and four non-Gazetted officers, whowill receive the records in Jammu.
The J&K SRTC had made available busses to transportemployees and trucks to shift official records. Meanwhile, to facilitate themovement of SRTC busses and trucks, only one-way traffic has been allowed onthe highway from last couple of days.
