Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that after whilethe airstrikes following the Pulwama terror attack made it clear that no onecan violate the country's borders the airstrikes after the Uri attack showedthe world that no threat to the security would not be tolerated.

Amit Shah was addressing the convocation ceremony at thePandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Amit Shah said, "After Uri, we carried out airstrikeand showed the world we support peace but won't tolerate a threat to oursecurity. We carried out airstrikes after Pulwama and made it clear no one canviolate our borders.

The home minister also spoke about the country's economy andsaid that the Indian economy is the fastest economy in the world. Taking aveiled attack on the UPA government, Amit Shah said that the previousgovernment did not try to improve the country's economy. "Why has theeconomy changed in the last five years? In 2014, the condition of the economywas poor but today I am telling you, today India is the fastest growing economyin the world."

Amit Shah also said that by the year 2022, India would be atthe top of the world. The home minister also said that in 2019, the growth rateof the country is above seven per cent and inflation, which used to stay ataround nine per cent, has come down to three per cent.
