In a major retaliation for unprovoked firing, the Indian Army has launched attacks on terror camps situated inside Pakistan-occupied Kashmir opposite the Tangdhar Sector. Confirming the strikes, Army Chief Bipin Rawat said that 6-10 Pakistani soldiers and a similiar number of terrorists were killed. He added that reports of terrorist casualties are still coming and the number would be "far more".

He added Ever since Artilce 370 was abbrogated we have been getting repeated inputs of infiltration from across the border...valley is returning to normalcy...but there are people working behind the scenes both within and outside the country to ensure that peace and normalcy doesn't return to the valley," says Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat.
Army Chief said Recently, we had information that terrorists were coming close to the border. Pakistani army has been indulging in CFV to provide cover to these terrorists trying to cross the border, an attempt was made in Tangdhar yesterday. We suffered two casualties. We then decided to target the camps from where the infiltration was initiated. We have caused severe damage to terror infrastructure across the border," Bipin Rawat said.
