A 35-year-old man, who was injured alongwith three other persons in an explosion which occurred near an encounter site in Anantnag last week, succumbed in a hospital in Srinagar on Monday.
Official sources said that four persons were injured when an unexploded device went off near the site of encounter in which two Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) militants were killed on Friday at Sirhama in Anantnag. “The injured were immediately taken to a local hospital from where they were referred to a hospital in Srinagar,” they said.
They said after battling for his life for three days, one of the injured, identified as Mohammad Yaseen Rather, succumbed in the hospital on Monday. “The health condition of rest of the injured is stated to be stable,” they added.
